Background
From our childhood we all consider candles as the way to create a cosy atmosphere. A candlelight diner, candles at Christmas and all other holidays, candles in Church are examples of the important role of candles in our lives. When you have the intension to make something cosy you never forget the candles.

So, for example for older people with dementia the use of candles can adress certain memories from the past. For each clientgroup candles will have a certain meaning. The 'history' of the emotions around candles might be a way to make contact with each of your clients. The problem is however that you are not allowed to use candles because of safety rules. For that you will never find candles in a snoezelenroom, because of the risk of fire.

But, the new development of Snoezelcandles solve this problem. It are real candles, but they do not burn for real.
